Having Lunch and Watching Boo at Bintaro Plaza

So, today I hung out alone at Bintaro Plaza. It’s not that I didn’t wanna invite my friends. There’s something I wanna buy and I didn’t feel comfortable to go buy it with someone. Let’s skip the shopping part since it’s not too important. Hahaha.

Es Teler 77

I ordered bakso and es teler.

The bakso wasn’t so nice. The taste of the broth is too thick. They added tempura in it, it doesn’t match with the meatballs. And I think the price was too expensive for a bowl of bakso. Rp26,400.00. Hahaha. There’s no nice bakso in Jakarta anyway. I miss bakso Malang.

But es teler is nice. It’s made of avocado, coconut, jackfruit, shaved ice, milk, and caramel. Yummy.

Boo

Next, I watched Boo at Bintaro 21.

My mistakes are first, I didn’t bring any friend with me. Second, I didn’t bring my glasses so I had to sit on the third row from the screen. The studio was so empty. There were only ten people watching and they sat on the back rows. So, I sat alone. There’s no one within five meters. And it was a horror film.

Damn.

By the way, this movie is actually released in 2005. So old.

The story was about a group of college students that spent a Halloween night in a haunted hospital. Don’t wanna tell much about the movie since the story wasn’t good. Hmm, 5/10 for it, I think.

Watching Eat Pray Love at Gandaria XXI

Last night, my friends and I went to Gandaria City, a new shopping center near our college to watch Eat Pray Love at Gandaria XXI. Got taxis, arrived at the mall, looked around the new mall, then had dinner at Solaria. Five minutes late for the movie. Not a big deal, though.

Eat Pray Love

It tells about Elizabeth Gilbert, a woman with unhappy marriage and a love affair that didn’t work out. After the divorce, she decided to go around the world: Italy, India, and Bali.

In Italy, she enjoyed many kinds of food. She learned about spirituality in India. And finally, she found her love in Bali. And those are eat, pray, and love.

Honestly saying, I think the story is good, but not that special. Some of my friends even said it was kinda boring.

Well, things were good in Italy: the foods, the friendships, the language. But it turned out different in India. I didn’t get the spiritual atmosphere, which is the PRAY part of the movie. However, Bali was gorgeous with the strong culture and its beautiful nature. And fyi, I’m not saying this just because I’m Indonesian. Still, I couldn’t really feel the climax of the story.

One funny thing about this movie is how the Balinese named Ketut said, “Smile with your liver.” What he meant was, “Smile with your heart.” Same meaning, different definition. It’s not like we can say “heart” as “liver”. Hahaha.

Finally, if I had to give a rating, it would be 8/10.

Gandaria City

One word I wrote on my Twitter about this mall: FABULOUS!

Great architectural design. Especially the food court, it has woody theme with the combination of western and oriental. And I really love the lighting, looks good in camera.

I didn’t take too many pictures since we actually weren’t allowed to take pictures inside. If we’re friends on Facebook, you can see more pictures here: [link].

I’m here alive with satellites and Friday nights.
